I have recently been on a flight and would like to tell you a true experience with a flight attendant. I was sitting
opposite to the F/A's jump seat near the exit, and from the beginning when she was standing there greeting passengers, this
beautiful lady was dipping her feet out of her heels crazily. I just couldn't help but stare at her nyloned feet. Soon the plane took off, and I caught her occasionally playing her shoes. Then she suddenly picked out a blue bag from her crew luggage, and it was a pair of flats. Now I learn that, for their comfort, F/As would change their 4’ heeled pumps into these loafers during the flight, and of course change it back when landing. I bet it must be the most exciting scene I have seen when it happened just in front of you. This flight attendant put out her flats out of her shoe bag and placed it on the floor for a while. Cross-legged, she then removed slowly her pumps each by each into the bag, taking the insoles into the flats, and put the new shoes onto her nyloned feet. During the whole time, I was staring at her feet but I noticed she might have caught my eyesight. At the end, she dangled a little, and then placing the bag back with a smile to me. For the rest of the flight, I tried not to look at her too much in case she might have noticed me, but when she was serving the meal on my row, I caught her dipping her feet completely out of her shoes! One could see clearly her toes and her sole of her loafers. I just wondered if she did it intentionally or not? With a common sense, one would expect that the F/As would change back to their high-heeled pumps again on arrival, and I had been waiting to see this happening again. Just before landing, the crew had finished their cleaning, and I saw some of them doing their make-up,including the F/A who sat opposite me. At first, she took out the same blue bags (that contained her 4' pumps) out from her crew luggage in front. She put the bag on the floor near her feet while she was doing the make-up on the jump seat. I knew her shoes were there in the bag, and I was staring at her, hoping the moment to come. In a sudden, she stood up, smiling on me, and took the shoe bag with her to the gallery, which was just in front of the jump seat. She closed the curtain in front of the gallery, and now I could only see her shadow just behind the curtain. Then came a loud noise—something hard dropping onto the floor—anyone could realize that it was a shoe dropping sound! Oops…she was changing shoes there—without letting me see it!! My heart was jumping as I was watching, in her shadow, standing and flexing her legs twice. I guessed she must be slipping off and on shoes! The F/A soon came out from the curtain, now with her nice pumps on. Again I could see she was smiling and holding the bag containing her flats. She just dropped the bag near her luggage and it was there until I found the plane had touched down. I was so excited but disappointed! When I was to leave the aircraft, she greeted, ‘Have a nice trip, sir?’ And I replied, ‘Yeah, very much. Thank you’. I could still see the bag with her flats inside. I cannot help thinking of this experience—it seemed that this beautiful F/A knew it all and was somehow teasing me. Anyway, when I am flying again, I will certainly ask for an exit seat. Does anyone get similar or other shoe experiences like this with a F/A?
