First off, I thought Pearl Harbour was an excellent movie. Certain sacrifices were made to cinematography, naturally, but they did not detract from the movie, in the same way as hearing the weapons in Star Wars (contrary to all laws of physics) did not detract from my enjoyment.
Second, hosiery, though not necesarily made of nylon, has been around for hundreds of years. Nylon material was invented in 1935 right here in the states...it was being used in hosiery by 1939...Pearl Harbour was set in 1941, in the States...it is utterly concievable that these ladies were wearing nylons. I heartily recommend that everyone see this movie.
