Murphy's Law Proven?

Man, if only today could have been yesterday.

In my computer-graphics course, I noticed that one girl who was wearing jeans and a white top with black shoes was a bit playful. She was talking to the teacher, her shoe on its side, her foot rotated within. (They were black shoes with an inch-high platform sole and an elastic (?) heel strap.) All of a sudden, she stepped back a little and set her foot on top of the shoe. She was wearing white socks. She did the same with the other foot, still talking to the teacher and standing ON her shoes. She slid back into the shoes and sat across from me at the computer. Meanwhile, on her side of the table, students were kidding with her about not wearing shoes in class. She explained that she found shoes restricting and preferred going shoeless.

So then, as teenagers do, they began tossing scenarios on the floor. Did that mean she'd go barefoot in school? (No, she wouldn't dare...but she had socks on today.) Would she go through the woods barefoot? (She used to when she lived in another town, where she "knew the woods cold.")

And why do I wish it were yesterday? She was wearing the same shoes...with a skirt and light-skintone nylons (which are, in my opinion, quite attractive though not as good as white nylons/tights).

Oh, well. This is school-spirit week, so maybe next week we can again see some dipping from class to class.
