I think many guys who grew up when flats were stylish really enjoy seeing them. I remember a girl in my high school chemistry class who wore and played with all sorts of flats. One day she came in with a pair of navy blue ballerinas which were trimmed with a light blue string bow and light blue piping. They had a little wood heel. The first day she walked into class a few minutes late. She was wearing a short skirt, sheer hose and she was slipping out of both shoes. Halfway across the room, she lost a shoe. Everyone looked at her. "I'm such a goof, I tried these on with socks and then wore them with stockings and they keep slipping off," she announced to the class. During the rest of the class half the guys watched as she slid her foot in and out of those saucy flats. She would pick them up with her toes, wiggle them and let them drop with with a sexy hollow sound. When she walked around the room, she would point her toes up to try to hold the shoes on, but usually her heel slipped out. She slipped completely out of the shoes several times. My friends and I would watch for her coming down the hall. As soon as we saw her wearing those loose ballerinas the word would go out, "She's wearing them!" We knew it would be a fun class that day. When she wasn't wearing them she wore loafers or other skimmers all of which slipped and all of which she played with. She was the only good thing about that class.
