Has anyone ever noticed this? I went to a formal event last night and all of the women were dressed high heels, either open or closed toes. Once the dancing starting getting heavy, two particularly pretty women there chucked their heels and put on FLIP FLOPS, which in no way matched their formal dresses. I at least had the nerve to walk up and dance with one of them, and inquired "why the flip flops." Of course one of them said it was purely for comfort. I mentioned to them that if they don't want to wear their heels when they dance, they may as well be barefoot. Flip flops are a big fashion no no. With that said, one of the girls threw her flip flops off and spent the rest of the night walking around barefoot.....never put her heels back on, even when she wasn't dancing. I hope this is not a common sight--nicely dressed women getting rid of their heels in the middle of a formal.
