Didn't notice your question till now. Lisa worked at a library. She would usually wear her Docs there, and was the sort of woman who would have been embarrassed to go bare- or stocking-footed in public, assuming she could have done that at her work. The way I could tell her feet ached, in the event that she did not say it, was that she would sort of look at me and let her shoulders droop and knees bend as if she were wilting, and let out a forlorn sigh. That and she would pitch her weight forward a bit when standing still, to take the weight of her heels, which also carried on into her walk.
