Would any avid dipper/dangler give that message? : DN Unfortunately, I don't know if there is any standard rule of thumb to go by or sign that a woman would give in public to indicate she likes having her feet pampered. Nowadays, when I dip and dangle my shoes it is both habit and a form of flirting, but I have been notorious for toying with my shoes since high school, long before I had any idea that men might be watching me. So no, I would have to say not every avid dipper/dangler is aware of what those men watching her would do for her if they could.
The "method" of dangling that evening was both what you described and also hooking the 4 in. heel of those shoes on the rungs and pulling my foot out. (Which is precisely what I was doing at the time my shoe fell.)
