You say she wears classic high heel pumps, well, my guess is that if you took a lady and made her wear 4" stiletto pumps for 8 hours you would see a tremendous amount of dipping after 5 or 6 hours. Whereas the same lady in flat, loafer shoes might not dip or dangle after 12 hours. I am a firm believer that most of the dipping is because their feet hurt and they are going for some cooling relief. I suppose all women are different, but I think that's the biggest reason.
