Dear visitors, customers etc. In early May I decided to offer a DVD. Having studied and dealt with computers since 1992, I undertook the task knowing there would be some stumbling blocks along the way. Any new technology presents hurdles. I read up on the DVD standard very carefully and proceeded to purchase the necessary (and expensive I might add) software and hardware. The hardware functioned exactly as advertised and is properly placing the data on the discs. The software on the other hand is a complete, utter and total failure. This $400, YES FOUR HUNDRED, dollar piece of software is incapable of doing anything but crashing. I tried reaching technical support but they wanted to charge me $29.95 per incident and all I could do was to leave a message. In other words, you didn't get someone on the phone to describe, explain etc etc.... I then called the people I actually bought the software from and they tried to help but they also started offering some "long shot" type of fixes and solutions. If you have worked with computers long enough, you have a "gut feeling" about what is wrong. Again, they were polite and understood my problem but offered a solution that was designed to "get me off their back" as opposed to really solving the problem. After 3 weeks of trials, errors and ruining DVD discs (discs cost $5 a pop I might add) I finally was forced to purchase another program which actually did work correctly. You are owed an apology for the delay. I was only going on the "good faith" that the programs I bought would actually perform as advertised. They did not and they wasted about 3 weeks of my time....... Now, the good news..... I am done! The DVD has worked on both computers and set top boxes. As long as your DVD machine can play DVD-R discs you should have NO PROBLEM. Now the shopping cart....... I apologize once again for the delays and I can now create the "Best of" DVD as well as Thanks and have a good weekend. Dean
This has caused delays in not only offering the DVD on time but in some cases (AND I REPEAT ONLY SOME CASES) longer than expected delays in receiving video tape orders from me.
After so many years, the company that processed the credit card orders for me decided to stop because I link to adult sites. I have changed shopping carts and I would like to let you know that the new cart uses SSL technology which is the standard for encryption over the internet. In other words, just because you see a different look when you click on an item, there is no reason to be jittery about it. The only difference is the look and that your card will be charged as A Million Hits, Inc. as opposed to CCNOW.........
That's it......
slowly begin offering all the tapes on DVD........
