Years ago when women dressed for work in heels and skirts, alcohol and heels meant happy hour after work on Thursday and Friday nites. The people from my office would go to happy hour afterwork on those nites. Happy hour started at 6pm and there were times that we did not leave until midnight. After a couple of drinks some girls would step out of their shoes to give their feet a break. Once the dj showed up and we hit the dance floor, the rest of the women would take off their shoes when they hit the dance floor. There were also many nites when a girl could not remeber where she left her heels. Sometimes it took a while to look under tables or hunt around the dance floor to find the lost heels. I wish women would start wearing heels again.
