I know exactly what you're talking about. I used to do the same thing whenever I went to a western "tourist" spot, like Estes Park, CO. They have several shops there that specialize in those old west photos, and they usually display samples in the windows for passersby to look at. Why they never provided the women with authentic, old-time lace up boots to wear, I'll never know, but I'm glad they didn't. I've never seen these types of pictures on a web site. Maybe we could start one....
: I'm not sure this board is still operating since no one has posted for a while. Anyway, has anyone ever come across any web site that has photos of people in "old west" costumes? Many times you see these types of photos in hotels in resort areas like Vegas. Many times the women will dress like a saloon girl, with pantyhose or fishnets and shoeless and their bare stocking feet are very prominent in the photos. I know when i run across a place like this on vacation i'm always looking at the photos that are hanging up. I would love to find some on the web but have yet to come across any and have never even seen it discussed on a messageboard.
